BASTROP, TX – A man died over the Memorial Day weekend in a motorcycle collision in central Bastrop County, reports KXAN.
Emergency crews responded to the 7500 block of FM 969 in Bastrop around 10 p.m. on Sunday. This is about 33 miles southeast of Austin.
Police aren’t yet sure what caused the 55-year-old biker to lose control of his bike and crash.
Authorities declared the motorcycle operator, identified as Joseph E. Carrington, deceased at the scene after medics were unable to resuscitate him.
No other vehicles have been referenced in connection to the accident.
