Crash Alert: N Austin collision with entrapment kills 1

AUSTIN, TX – A single-vehicle car accident near Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park in North Austin killed one person late Sunday night, reports Fox 7 Austin.

Police say the incident happened around 10:48 p.m. near the intersection of North Lamar Boulevard and West Yager Lane, which is just west of I-35 and south of Parmer Lane.

Authorities have not yet explained how the accident happened, nor have they released the identity of the victim.

Austin-Travis County EMS reported to the scene along with the Austin Fire Department. Upon arrival, they worked to extricate one person from a vehicle.

Medics transported that person on a trauma alert to Dell Seton Medical Center, where they died a little under an hour later.

The incident remains under investigation.
