AUSTIN, TX – One person died Sunday night in north-central Austin when a vehicle struck them along a major roadway, reports KVUE.
The accident happened shortly before 10 p.m. on the southbound side of North Lamar Boulevard between Masterson Pass and West Longspur Boulevard. This is just east of the Quail Creek neighborhood.
Police say that the driver of the southbound vehicle involved in the crash failed to stop and render aid, leaving the pedestrian to die at the scene.
Authorities have not yet disclosed the victim’s identity, nor have they shared any further details regarding the circumstances of the collision.
